Léonard Perret the 21 year old Parisian is a sound engineering student at the Institut Supérieur des Techniciens du Son (ISTS). He develops an interest for music early on: at age 16 he buys his first turntables and starts spending hours crate digging in search of new and rare gems. Following these formative years, he creates his first tracks aged 19.
Two years later, he releases his first EP on New York label Wolf Lamb, which features a notable collaboration with talented producer Nicolas Jaar. Influenced by artists such as Sun Ra, Marvin Gaye, Nina Simone but also Moodyman and Daniel Bell, Le Loup’s productions sound similar to his DJ mixes; a true melting pot of jazz and house classics, and a pronounced inclination for Detroit and NYC vibes. These days, the young blood is being recognized as a serious, sophisticated, forward-thinking DJ. He has shared the bill with big names such as Kiki, Sety, Mike Dunn, Get The Curse, The Martinez Brothers and Jens Bond in notorious underground parties such as the exceptional Dimuschi , or in leading clubs such as Social Club in Paris
