Ambivalent, Magda, Gaiser and Richie Hawtin in action behind the decks as Pressure hosts the post-Barrowlands party…

Richie Hawtin knows how to put on a show – especially when it comes to Plastikman. And 2011′s Live 1.5 tour combined his trademark mind-bending visuals and killer tunes like never before. But for EQTV, where Hawtin will always be best is behind the decks, DJing. So when Soma’s flagship night Pressure announced it was hosting the official afterparty for the Barrowlands leg of the Plastikman tour – with Richie reverting to his DJing persona – we had to be there.

But, of course, this being Mr Hawtin, a set from him wasn’t enough. Warming up for him with hour-long sets at the Arches were a M-Nus dream team of Ambivalent, Magda and Gaiser. Was this party better than the Plastikman gig itself? Well, maybe…
